Application Process

Volunteer Applicants:

The Boonville Volunteer Fire Department accepts applications year round for volunteers. No previous experience or certifications are required. Applications may be picked up or downloaded below. Upon completing your application, please return it on a Thursday night at 7:00pm. Once your application is received by the membership chairman the membership committee will be notified and a review of your application will begin. When we have reviewed the application we will contact you about setting up an interview with the membership committee. After we have met with you we will decide if you are eligible to move forward in the process. Once the process is complete you will be voted on by the membership of the department. Pending majority vote you will be placed on a probationary member status for 90 days. After successful completion of probationary status you will be voted on to be accepted as a full member of the Boonville Volunteer Fire Department. Paid Applicants:

The Boonville Volunteer Fire Department accepts applications year round for the position of part-time paid Engineer.    Applications may be picked up in person at the fire station.  Complete all sections and steps in the application and then return it to us.  Hiring of part-time Engineers is based on vacancies or needs within our part-time paid program.  Our Engineers and part-time employees work Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm.  Minimum qualifications for paid employees include NC Firefighter II or equivalent, NC EMT, NC Haz-Mat Operations, and NC EVD.  A NC class B or higher drivers license is also required.   NC TR/RT, D/O Pumps, and ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800 preferred prior to being hired.
