Application Process

Volunteer Applicants:

The Boonville Volunteer Fire Department accepts applications year round for volunteers. No previous experience or certifications are required. To enter the application process, applicants must correspond with an Email to the BVFD Volunteer Review Chairperson (see details below).  You will then be contacted by the Chairperson of the Volunteer Review Committee and later receive all supporting documents from the department needed for the rest of the process.  Follow all instructions in the documents and return them to the department via postal mail, Email or in person within 30 days of receiving the initial application documents.  Once all documents have been reviewed by the Volunteer Review Committee, an interview will be scheduled between the committee and the applicant.  If the Volunteer Review Committee approves the applicant to continue in the process, the applicant will receive a conditional offer of volunteering.  The applicant will be scheduled a time to complete additional forms for a required drug test and background check.  The Fire Chief will review the results of these processes and issue the final volunteer acceptance letter to the applicant.
